How it works

predictRx is a 3-stage process that yields a clinical report which can be used to personalise a treatment plan.

The predictRx process

Imagen’s Screening Platform

Collect

A fresh biopsy of the patient’s tumour is delivered to Imagen inside a Nanocool™ kit. The cancer cells are separated and grow in Imagen’s proprietary growth medium until there are enough cells for testing.

Test

A highly advanced, automated fluorescence microscopy screening is carried out to measure drug responses on live tumour cells. Treatment options are compared against our growing, AI-powered biobank of over 150,000 drug responses.

Report

Your personalised results are collated into a sensitivity rating, categorising responses into treatments that work (PPV) and don’t work (NPV). A report is generated and then sent to the clinician.

The science

Imagen’s phenotypic approach is based on a sophisticated cell death assay that involves automated fluorescence microscopy (High Content Analysis). Our methodology ensures the test is accurate and fast, as well as permitting the screening of a large number of chemotherapy and targeted therapies at once.
